    When your private information is entered and transmitted to us (e.g., credit card information),

    we encrypt it so that it cannot be intercepted and used by other people.

    How do I order from H Mart Online?
    1) Sign up. You need to be a member with a valid email address in order to enjoy H Mart's Online services.
    2) Browse our categories (by product type or by brand) or search for your desired items.Search results are shown
    3) Once you have placed all needed items in your cart, go to View Cart or Check Out.

        Select your shipping address and payment information.
    4) Confirm your order. We will immediately send you an email containing a tentative package list.

        (Most of the time, we will have all the items in your cart in stock. Occasionally, however,

        some items may be out of stock due to high demand or low supply.)
    5) We will pick and package your order, and include a final package list with your order. When your order is shipped

        (i.e., handed over to the UPS driver), the final invoice will be emailed to you showing the final adjusted amount.
    6) Next time you shop, use H Mart Online's SpeedShop to view your past orders and reorder quickly.

    Can I order by phone?
    We strongly encourage our customers to place their orders online for maximum convenience, speed, and accuracy.

    If you must order by phone, we will accept phone orders during normal business hours.

    What is SpeedShop?
    SpeedShop by H Mart Online is an entirely new way of shopping for your favorite items in the shortest time possible.

    Most people usually shop for their favorite items every time they shop.

    We remember all your past orders and present your favorite items by category or by the date of your order.

    This way, you can shop in minutes!

     

    How can I check the status of my order?
    To check on the status of your order, go to My Account.

    In case of a stock out, will I get substitute items?
    There are occasions where we stock out on certain items due to unexpectedly high demand or a supply shortage.

    When you order, we ask you whether you would like us to send you substitute items (similar in quality and price) if an item is out of stock. If you indicate to us that you would like to receive only the exact items you order, we will ship your order without the stocked-out items.

    Can I return something after receiving my order?
    If any of the items are damaged or defective in your order, please contact us right away.

    We'll either replace it with an acceptable item or give you a credit or refund for 100% of the cost for that item.

    All electronic appliances, unless damaged or defective, are subject to a 25% restocking fee.

    Products that have been used will be refused and returned to sender at the sender's expense.

    How are credits/refunds applied?
    Refunds are made directly to the credit card that was charged for the original order.

    Credits are made into the customer's credit account. You can check your balance in My Account.

     

     

     

    How do I pay?
    H Mart Online accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express credit cards

    as well as debit cards bearing the MasterCard or Visa logo.

    We do not accept food stamps or coupons. We do not accept personal checks, money orders, or cash.
    Your credit card is charged the total amount when the order is completed. Later, if any stock outs or changes occurs, the difference is refunded or charged.

    You will receive an email containing a tentative item list and order amount immediately after placing your order.

    When your order is finally packed and shipped,

    you'll receive a final email confirming your final order total, including a full, itemized receipt.

    Is there a minimum order?
    There is no minimum order at this time.

    Exceptions include certain promotions?e.g., a minimum order of $50 (excluding tax and shipping)

    which applies to the $10 sign-up discount promotion.

    Does H Mart Online accept personal checks or cash?
    No, H Mart Online does not accept personal checks or cash.

    Exactly when is my credit card charged?
    Your credit card is charged when the order is completed. Later, if any stock outs or changes occurs, the difference is refunded or charged.

    You will receive an email containing the final invoice after your package is shipped.

     

     

     

    Where does H Mart Online deliver?
    We deliver to most addresses within the 48 contiguous states of the United States.

    We use UPS Ground for shipping and delivery.

    As such, if UPS Ground does not serve your area,

    you will need to select an alternative address where UPS Ground does reach.

    How does H Mart Online deliver?
    When we have picked and packed your order, your order is handed over to the UPS Ground crew,

    who makes daily pick ups at our warehouse in northern New Jersey.

    Once your package is in the UPS system,

    the package can be tracked with real-time visibility until it is received and signed by a recipient.

    UPS Ground policies require that all deliveries are signed by a recipient.

    Customers living in buildings with doormen may have the doorman sign on their behalf.

    When does H Mart Online deliver and how long does it take?
    H Mart Online ships every weekday afternoon (Monday ~ Friday) but does not deliver on weekends,

    as UPS Ground only operates on weekdays. We do not ship on weekends and national holidays.
    It normally takes between 1 and 6 business days for you to receive the order, depending on the zone.

    For the vast majority of our customers, it usually takes just 1 to 2 business days to receive their package.

    Shipping may be delayed when a recipient is not available or if the recipient's address is not correct.

    Who is responsible for picking and packing my order?
    H Mart Online has a dedicated team of expert pickers and packers

    who carefully assemble and pack your order to ensure that the highest quality is delivered to your door.

    From our extra careful air padding (to prevent transit damage) and high quality packing materials,

    you will realize the care and science that go into our picking and packing process.

    What if I'm not home to receive my order?
    UPS will only deliver if there is a recipient to sign for the package.

    If you are not home when the UPS driver arrives,UPS will make up to 3 attempts to deliver the package.

    After 3 failed attempts, your order may be returned to us.

    If delivery cannot be made due to your absence, you may be charged the associated shipping and handling fees,

    as well as any applicable restocking fees. You may also be charged for spoiled items.

    Are there any delivery restrictions?
    Certain items may not be deliverable to all locations

    (e.g., the Dimchae Kimchi refrigerator may only be delivered within the tri-state NY-NJ-CT area).

    Also, orders with an excessive total weight may be subject to special shipping arrangements.

    There are also special delivery policies governing refrigerated food, requiring special care during transit.

    How are shipping charges calculated?
    Some electronic appliances and other items we sell online at H Mart.com are eligible for Free Shipping.

    Items eligible for free shipping are marked with a truck icon and will ship to you free of any shipping fees.

    For items that are not eligible for free shipping (e.g., most grocery items),

    shipping fees are calculated based on the destination zip code and order total.

    Based on your zip code, you are assigned to Zone A, B, C, or D.

    The order amount is the total of all items except those eligible for Free Shipping.

    Refrigerated items must be kept cool during transit, and this requires special handling.

    We use high-quality insulation along with high-performance ice gel packs to keep your refrigerated food cool.

    To ensure an appropriate transit temperature, we ship refrigerated food to only the following states.

    We can reach these 17 U.S. states and Washington, DC, within 48 hours by UPS Ground.

    As we ship from northern New Jersey,all New England and Mid-Atlantic states and those states

    as far west as Indiana and South Carolina to the south are eligible.

    If you do not reside in one of the eligible states and wish to order from H Mart Online,

    your cart will allow only non-refrigerated items to be purchased.

    To partly defray costs arising from the extra materials and handling,

    there is a special handling fee of $4.95 up to the first $30 of refrigerated items and additional $3 per each $30 increment thereafter.
