What is SMART CARD?

Hmart Smart Card is another way for us to thank you for being our valued customer. We want to reward you each time you shop at Hmart. For every purchase, you’ll earn Smart Card points, which can be redeemed for special gift certificates that are just as good as cash. As a Smart Card member, you’ll receive other exclusive benefits, starting with coupon books in the mail. Don’t wait, start saving SMART today!

How do I register for a Smart Card?

Visit your nearest H Mart Customer Service Center and fill out a simple registration process for a Smart Card. Membership is free and there is no annual fee. After 1 years of inactivity, your Smart Card account will be automatically deleted.

How do I check the number of points on my Smart Card?

Each time you make a purchase, you can earn Smart Card points.

When you earn 1,000 points, you can receive a $10 Reward Certificate that can be used for your next purchase at any Hmart. Please redeem your points at your nearest Customer Service Center.

Can I have products purchased at Hmart stores delivered to my home?

We do not offer delivery service for general merchandise (fresh/processed foods /household supplies), but we may deliver large household appliances upon request. Shipping and delivery services will vary by region. Please contact your local store for more information.

How do I sign up to receive Hmart flyers in the mail?

Currently, we do not send out flyers in the mail. Check your local newspaper ads or visit our homepage and click on ‘Store Events’ to have access to the latest sales and event flyers, anytime you want. We are always seeking better ways to provide you with the best services.

What should I do if the item I want is out of stock?

If the item you want is out of stock, please visit the Customer Service Center and they will inform you when the next shipment will arrive. We try our best to replenish our stock as quickly as possible.

Can I buy Hmart products online?

You can search for and buy products online at Hmart.com for fresh and fast delivery in the United States.

What should I do if the product I bought has expired?

In the rare case that you have purchased an expired product, please report it to the store’s Customer Service Center immediately so that we can promptly remove the product from the shelves. We give our sincerest apologies and we will happily refund or exchange your items.

Why are some Hmart products cheaper online?

Since the nature of selling online differs from selling in stores, prices may vary. We are constantly researching to provide the best products at the best prices.

A few days after I made a purchase at Hmart, there was an event and the price of the item went down. Can I receive a refund on the price difference?

Throughout the year, we hold various events with discounts on select items. Since these are special offers, we do not allow price adjustments for items already purchased.

Why do products and prices vary by state?

We make it our goal to offer the best products and low prices at all of our Hmart stores. Since each store manages its own inventory based on its location, prices may vary by region. Please contact your local Hmart for more information.

What do I do if there is a mistake on my receipt?

If an error was made by our Hmart employee, please bring your receipt to the Customer Service Center where you made your purchase so that we can correct the mistake. We apologize for any errors, and to avoid any future miscalculations, we will retrain the staff.

The scanned price is different from the price on the shelf.

Due to the changing nature of the market, prices may fluctuate from day to day. Each day, a representative checks the prices, then corrects the price list and enters it into the computer system. If the price scanned is different from the one on the shelf, the representative may have missed making the necessary corrections. Please bring your receipt to the store so that we can confirm the error and adjust the price. We apologize for any inconveniences this may have caused you and we hope to manage this system more strictly in the future.

Returns & Exchanges
Can I return or exchange products I bought at a different Hmart store in the same region?

We only allow refunds and exchanges at the Hmart store where you purchased your product. In the future, we hope to improve this service so that it will be more convenient for you.

Can I return or exchange a product without the receipt?

We do not allow returns or exchanges without the original receipt. If you need more assistance, please visit your local Hmart or contact our Customer Care through phone or email.

How do I return or exchange groceries? How many days do I have to return it?

General products: Please bring the item and original receipt to the Customer Service Center of the Hmart store where you made your purchase, within 7 days of purchase. If you are unable to return the item within 7 days, please call the store’s Customer Service Center in advance so that a representative can record your information and process the return for the next time you visit. Refrigerated / frozen products (including vegetables, fruits, meat, fish, milk, ice cream, frozen foods): please bring the item and original receipt to the Customer Service Center of the Hmart where you made your purchase, within 24 hours of purchase. If you are unable to return the item within 24 hours, please call the store’s Customer Service in advance and store well to keep the item from deteriorating.

How do I return or exchange electronic / electrical appliances? And within how many days?

If you find a defect in your product within 14 days of purchase, please bring the item in its original packaging along with any accessories, and the original receipt to the store where you made your purchase. If your item is found defective after 14 days of purchase, please contact the manufacturer. If you have any further inquiries regarding your purchase, please visit the store and we will do our best to help you.

Does Hmart offer repair services for appliances bought at Hmart?

Hmart offers repair services for electronics broken or damaged due to manufacturer’s defect. Although the length of warranty varies by manufacturer, we provide 1 year of free repairs for most products. After 1 year, or if the product breaks from improper care, we offer paid repair services.

Can I return or exchange opened products?

We do not allow returns if the product’s packaging has been opened, unless the item is defective.

Where can I buy Hmart gift certificates?

You can purchase a gift certificate at any Hmart Customer Service Center. For more information, please contact your local Hmart.

In what amounts are Hmart gift certificates available?

Currently, Hmart offers $20 and $50 gift certificates.

Can I receive discounts for ordering Hmart gift certificates in bulk?

Our Hmart gift certificates can be used like cash at any Hmart. We offer a 5% discount for bulk purchases over $500 worth of gift certificates.

What if I lose my Hmart gift certificate or store credit?

Please treat your gift certificate or store credit as if they were cash. The value is not refundable.

Can I redeem my Hmart gift certificate for cash?

You must spend over 90% of the value of the gift certificate in order to receive the remaining balance of the gift certificate in cash. We recommend that you use the entire value of the gift certificate.

Can I use my Hmart gift certificate at the food court or tenant stores?

Hmart gift certificates may not be used in the food court or tenant stores.
